Overview

During the COVID period, I led the visual and motion design direction for a series of Instagram Stories for the Ministère de la Culture. The objective was to deliver clear, empathetic, and trustworthy messages in a fast-changing context. We developed a coherent animated system using smooth transitions, kinetic typography, and subtle motion effects to guide attention and reinforce comprehension. The stories combined editorial clarity with cultural sensitivity, using animation not just for visual appeal but to support narrative rhythm and emotional impact—ensuring both engagement and institutional credibility.

Challenge

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministère de la Culture needed to communicate key information and support cultural engagement via Instagram Stories, in a format that was both accessible and emotionally resonant. The challenge was to speak clearly to a wide audience while maintaining the institution’s credibility and tone of voice.

Solution

We developed a modular series of animated Stories that balanced editorial content with expressive yet respectful motion design. Each story was optimized for quick comprehension, visual impact, and brand consistency, with special attention to pacing and tone.
A highly shareable and visually unified campaign that successfully informed and engaged the public, while strengthening the Ministère’s digital presence during a critical time.
